The last element of the training weave, weaving abstract shapes, and here it is in all its finished glory. I also started on a cartoon for my last project in ''operation image'' and that is a tapestry of my own design.

Today I started on my own weave. I'm using the same warp as the training weave just flip the frame. The symbol is that of a faction in a miniature game I play and the finished product will be a dice bag to hold dice and other gaming utensils.

Even though it itches in me to work on the
tapestry, I need to be done with the wadmal on the warp-weighted as
I'm going to felt it in a few weeks then the textile class felt their
wadmal. I have hit a bit of a snag tho, the friction of the warp and
the heddles and the guide chain has felted the warp to it. The
heddles I could loosen with my hands but the chain is so bad that the
best thing to do is to cut it up into sections. I start with sections
the size on the pictures and try to loosen them with my hands, is
that doesn't work I cut the once that are too stuck to the warp and
will damage it if I try harder into individual sections for each warp
thread and let them ride along the warp. The final step is to add new
chains to the weave.

Back to
the tapestry, and today I got to the point I started the circle in
the middle which is a bit tricky as I have too few warp threads to do
a good circle so I have to boge it a bit.

At the school, we have a few reconstructions of historic homes, one is a Viking house as it should have lookt in this region of Sweden, and today I and some friends cooked some food and did some wood carving and just chilling there.
