Disaster has struck! The work on Sleipnir and Oden was done totally unsupervised and then my teacher came down today, she noticed that I had done the entire motive with the wrong technic. I hade winded the inlay around every 3 instead of every other 3 as she showed me on this drawing, it also shows the side effects of what I have done to the weave doing it as I did. If you do it, as you should every row of pattern inlay, get pushed into one and other to make a tight-fitting and even weave, but now all the layers are lying on top of each other and this makes the weave inlay pack unevenly, you can see it if you look at the feet of Sleipnir how between the border and the feet, it's nice and packed but between the feet it's not.

Today I started on the next appearance of Odin, this time he will be drinking from Mimers well after sacrificing one eye.

Almost finished the body today, think am getting hang of this.
Weaver's log, Earthdate 27022015 Finished this Oden today, changed the colours of the drinking horn as a lot of people thought it was a carrot on the cartoon, but now some think it looks like toothpaste there's no pleasing some. I also did some more work on the cartoon, as before mimer is taken from the original tapestry, but there's no well on the tapestries so I had to do some research and the best I could come up with, without putting too much time on it was comparing different Viking reenactment places solutions hoping they hade put in little more time then I did. I also coloured Yggdrasil and added Oden hanging himself with Gungnir his spear through him. Next week we have spring break and I don't know how much weaving I will be doing, as am going to go home at least a few days.
