Week 42 (I revile what I will be doing next semester)

Today I visited a small museum dedicated to the överhogdal tapestry. The reason why I tagged along with the textile class on this trip is that the tent project out of a school sens will end with this semester and the next I will be learning to make tapestries. The tapestry they have on display here is a copy my teacher have mostly woven during the late 80es and early 90tes. It's really cool. She has spun all yarn for it and dyed it before weaving it on a warp-weighted loom. There are loads of pics on the front on the internet so I give you one from the back instead as a treat, this is from the board that goes along it.

I think winter finally is here it feels so good to finally, get some cold weather and not the slouchy weather we have had so far. Here is a pic of my progress so far, the roll is starting to grow on the beam and it feels so good.

I went home yesterdays and today I have been working on the farm and saw this in the sky my guess is that its a planet, anyway, I thought it was very beautiful.

On my way back I stopped at a prehistoric farm having a winter event and found this pair of shoes that I thought were amazing, they are made out of woollen fabric.
