Week 46 (Research for Överhodal tapestries)

Weaver's log, Earthdate 12012015
The first day of the new semester, the day was spent with the textile class as a soft start. This week they are going to work with warp and inlay twisted wefts the technic is known also as weft Twining. I did this small thing as I will work with it one day only. I will probably work more with this technic some other time as it seems fun.

This were the first real day of operation ''image'' I walked to the public library and borrowed The enigmatic Överhogdal tapestries and started reading and taking notes. It is a caching book that was easy to read even though I have dyslexia. I made it halfway through the book what is shocking to me.

When I was at the library I asked them to look for three other books and they found one of them in their archive, and I quickly walked down there and got it. It is a book with different picture weaving technics in it and I will read it when I get closer to the actual weaving stage which will be quite soon according to my teacher. With whom I had a meeting before lunch, and she thinks that I should get started as soon as possible. And last I borrowed the third book but this time from the schools own library named Bonaderna från Skog och Överhogdal by Anne Marie Franzen and Margareta Nockert, which I will start reading tomorrow as I finished reading the last book.

Started reading Bonaderna från Skog och Överhogdal today and it is a lot harder on my dyslexia as it is based on a thesis. Its really interesting stuff and it has great pictures and illustrations.

Today I have kept on reading in Bonaderna från Skog och Överhogdal and am finding a lot of good things to note, as preparation of the actual weaving as threads per centimetre and such.
