After one week of Easter break and one week of reading books about flemish weaving, it's finally time to start weaving. This first weave is a practise weave that my teacher did when she was a student her self. All I have to do is follow the instructions and I will be a pro in no time.

This first part is about gradients and that is going fairly smooth. But somehow I have managed to flip the image, but it's not too big of a deal this time as its an exercise in technique.

Today I was on a
field trip to Östersund, visiting the spinnery that my inlay was
spun at and Jamtli a museum that among its collections have the
original Överhogdal tapestries. I have seen them a few times but
it's always magical to see so much fabric that survived for over 900
years.
