Week 25 (Tweaks, start of the second weft and wool sorting.)

Weaver's log, Earthdate 18022014
Almost a week after I got sick I finally got the energy to work, and today I really got some work done. I have done all the work with the reed, put it in the beater and connected all the pedals, tide the warp to the front beam, so I am in a sense done with the preparation I have some problems with threads not wanting to give me an open shed. I also finished my first bone needle today.

First I must say that due to personal reasons I quit school early and this and coming posts will be written from memory with help from pictures I have taken. Today I did some tweaking with the pedals to get an open shed, then that was done I finally could start weaving on the second and last weft on the floor loom, for this project at least.

Today I spent weaving, it felt so great to finally be weaving again.

Even thou this technically was the second day I could weave I took it easy today and hung out with my classmates in our classroom, its only Friday once a week. I also went home today to sort wool as I have too little at the moment to finish the entire weft.

Today I and my father build a sorting table so I could start sorting wool for spinning. So it doesn't go as last time then they hade to sort away so much wool, as it were to short or to felted.

The wool sorting continues and sone I will have enough for the rest of the weft.
