Weaving the scarf and tie the treadles on the 16 shaft

Weaver's log, Earthdate 13012020
Made some more bobbin papers as with so many weaving there aren't too many to go around.
I quite sone realised then I was spooling up my bobbins that as the colour of my yarn shift in a gradient, I have to spool and then re-spool it as the end there I cut it last will get hidden in the middle of the bobbin.
I started weaving and the weaving went smooth, The bobbins did go empty quickly though, think I got out 2cm on each so I went with a rag rug stick instead as I could fit so much more on them.

Kept on weaving and finished today, it went smooth as its only plain weave. As there are empty parts in the warp I kept the inlay loser sometimes as that gives the scarf a nice effect utilising that weaving is 3D. Other than that I don't know if there's anything special I did with it. It's now ready for my classmate to begin her scarf tomorrow.

My classmate got started today and I sat next to her and did some spinning, ready to help if she needed any, I also helped the others in the sewing class if they needed any. Around midday, I took the bull by the horns and took care of something that has been knawing in me for some time, and that is that after some tries now I still can't get around drawing the analytic fabric draft. So I started talking about it with my teacher, and first, she was hard on me for not handing in not one but two assignment one of wich I hade total mist we hade. But then I explained why that I hade done my best but failed she changed to a smile and said ''then we should fix that''. She got her laptop and her tablet so she could see her pictures of the original fabric. What then preceded is something of the coolest things I have ever seen. In the beginning, I could just keep up with what she was doing but once it clicked in her head, it was like watching a computer. I focused so hard to follow that another teacher asked if I was well, as apparently I was pale and my eyes were opened wide. Then that was done and she had helped the once that now were queuing from the sewing class, we went over to the loom and did a check up on it. It had some boxes in it and some things missing that I got to fetch. She went over the work order and differences with a 16-shafted loom. This one got floating lamms as an example. This made me ask if I could start with the treadles and work backwards from normal, and I don't think she had ever thought about it but it will make it so much easier to get in and out of the loom as I don't have to have the warp hanging above me.

Today I wear to start with the hardest part of this project, tieing the treadles. I got the treadle part of the draft printed out quite big, then I coloured in each tredel and numbered them.
We put A3 papers in the middle of the treadles and the two layers of lamms, and to do one side at a time to lessen the confusion. I started with only moving and removing the strings I needed from what was there before. But sone realised that it would just go I faster if I removed them all and started from the beginning. This took the rest of the day.

After removing all the strings yesterday I started today to put them in the right places, I put a paper as a wall to hide all the treadles on the paper to the right so I could easily see which one I was on.
It went way quicker then I expected, but at the end of the day, I was almost done, but then I came to the last tredel I notest I hade to many metal loops on the 16th shaft. This loom can have 20 in total so I should have two extra on each side, and I had 3 on this side.
First I couldn't get my head around it but the problem was that I hade Dubbel tied tredel 7 I think it was, what that means is that I hade tied on a string on the 16th shaft on the top lamm and the bottom lamms. But as the day was coming to an end I felt this is a project for next week.
