Did the pre-sleying today and again I hade twisted some threads out of order in the warping, think I have to practise more on warping or rather take it slower so I don't do mistakes.

Did a lot of
reading in a book from Ulla Cyrus today and at the end of the day my
teacher helpt me put the warp in the loom and got the heedeling done,
A trick I did with the heedeling and will do with the sleying is to
keep the thread bundles at a number that correlate with the thing you
weave. So, In this case, one repetition is 16 with two different
patterns in it, so I tide the bundles of 8 threads each.
Then I was walking home and turned off the lights I saw the loom light was still on, and I felt it was something with what I saw so I hade to take a picture or two.

Got the sleying and front tieing done today.

On the agenda today was tieing the treadles, and as this is on a contramarch it's a bit more fiddly and on top of that its the first time I do it. If you don't know what a contramarch is, it's a thing that does so then you push a tredel down the heedels that are tide to it not only go down but all the others rise as well giving you a good shed. All the looms here got these things that catch the sticks you put on the back beam then you put the warp in the loom. The bad thing is that they stab you in the back, so I got to get creative this time as it takes some time to thread it all. You connect the once you want to go down on the top row and the rest on the bottom one. My teacher told me that on the 16 shaft weave it is 300 plus strings. Then I was done and sat down to test it out I noticed that I hade connected them crocked so I hade to crawl down again and move them all to the left one step.
