The next thing I need to do is to get the warp in the loom and I don't have my teacher here so I separated the heddles a bit more as it was mentioned then my class looked at my work two weeks ago. The rest of the day I spent in the sewing classroom reading weaving magazines getting inspiration. I have even gotten my own desk in their classroom.

Today my Teacher hade time to help me, she only had to help my classmate that is some time in school get started on her stuff and show another classmate how to do Karelsk lace. we puled on the warp, we even almost got all of the heddeling done. As there are so many shafts you have to be two to do it, one grabs the thread and do the first 3-4 in the back and one do the rest from the front. We pulled out all the heddles we needed for one repeat. One on shaft 1 and 16 the others 2, this made it easy to see where you were and so you didn't miss any. After lunch, she had another class so I started on the fringe on my scarf. I did not like the look of once the others hade done with the warp threads, but one hade put in an inlay thread and it thickens the brads up to a nice unflimsy looking size. So that's what I did. I started with a four-strand braid but think my fingers though I did the braid that's on my Sköldhamns hood so it turned out a bit weird. She who did the fringe am mimicking sits opposite to me in the sewing classroom so I asked her how she did hers and she only hade twist braided them, so that's what I did on the rest. I only got one side done today so the other will be left for another day.

Started the day with finishing the heddeling. Got the other side of the scarf done, this might be one of the things I am most pleased with that I have woven. Then I went back to the loom and sleyed it, it went without a hitch as the warp is pretty coarse at 8/2 cotton.
We talked about inlay and she has ordered 36/2 wool thread in black for me but the black was out of stock so ether we get a dark blue in the mail or we go up to 28/2 which to me still is crazy thin and I did not think you could easily order so thin thread still.

I was really tired then I got into school today so I thought I'd read some to start easy. What I hade forgotten is that Ulla Cyrus Sätterström does not kid around and go in so deep into things that I felt like I know nothing then I read about the plain weave. I got through a few chapters though and went back to the loom to tie up in the front. I tried a new way to do it (see pictures) I kinda liked it and will test it some more times before I write it off and stick to what I always have done.

Read a lot of weave magazines today. Ther are so many things one can weave that my brain overheats with all the ideas I want to do.
